Please be advised that I(we) will be vacating my(our) apartment when my(our) lease expires. In accordance with my(our) lease, I(we) agree to pay the rent through the termination date of the lease, or if I(we) are occupying our apartment as month-to-month tenant(s), I(we) agree to pay rent through the last day of the month in which I(we) remain in the apartment. I(we) also agree to:

  1. Vacate the apartment by the date below;
  2. Turn in all issued keys/fobs and parking permits to the superintendent or Stamford Office by the date below; and
  3. Leave the apartment in good condition, reasonable wear and tear excepted as provided by the lease.

Provided that I(we) have complied with all of the items outlined above, my(our) security deposit will be refunded to me(us) by US Mail to the forwarding address listed below within the legally permitted time frame.

I(WE) ALSO UNDERSTAND THAT IF I(WE) ARE VACATING BEFORE THE EXPIRATION DATE OF MY(OUR) LEASE WITHOUT PRIOR WRITTEN PERMISSION FROM THE STAMFORD OFFICE, I(WE) WILL NOT BE ENTITLED TO A SECURITY DEPOSIT REFUND.

Note: A security deposit is used to guarantee performance under the lease. It may not be used to cover the last month’s rent. If the last rent payment is not received by the 10th of the month, legal action will be taken and the tenant will be held responsible for any legal fees incurred. Such collection actions will be reported to the appropriate Credit Bureaus and may reflect upon the tenant’s credit rating.
